😵💫 Ever have one of those days?
Where everything feels too loud, too fast, too much?
Yeah. Me too.
As a content creator, my days are packed with filming, editing, brand deals, messages, comments, deadlines – and sometimes, it all becomes too overwhelming.
So instead of pretending to be “fine,” I’ve learned to pause. And when I do, here are the things I turn to – my small comforts, my reset rituals.
🌿 1. Going for a walk – without my phone
No music. No messages. Just me, the sky, and the sound of my footsteps.
It’s grounding. It reminds me the world is bigger than my to-do list.
☕ 2. Making my favorite cozy drink
A hazelnut latte, a hot chocolate, or my favorite Vietnamese egg coffee. The act of preparing it slowly… calms me. It’s like telling myself: “You deserve this moment.”
🧼 3. Tidying up my desk
Sometimes, cleaning up my workspace is how I clean up my mind. Organizing lights, cameras, notebooks – it makes me feel like I’m regaining control of my space.
📖 4. Journaling (even if it’s messy)
I just write:
What am I feeling?
What’s stressing me out?
What do I wish I felt?
No filters. No grammar checks. Just me, being honest. And that honesty? It helps me understand myself better.
🎶 5. Playing my “comfort playlist”
I literally have a playlist called “Dear Joy, slow down.” It’s full of soft piano, rain sounds, gentle K-indie. Whenever I play it, I feel like I’m being hugged by the universe.
✨ And the biggest reminder?
You don’t have to be okay all the time. You’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to feel. And when you’re ready, you’ll rise again – one breath at a time.
